BIOFUELS
FOR THE FUTURE
We develop biofuels production technology using catalytic depolymerization of biomass.
WHO WE ARE
PRODUCTION FACILITY

Ekotrend develops biofuels production technology using catalytic depolymerization of biomass. Our technology enables the conversion of biomass into a renewable fuel.
The company owns the demonstration and commercial-scale plant in Poland.

OUR
TECHNOLOGY
The technology used by the Ekotrend plant is known as KDV processes – catalytic depolymerization. The main raw material used in the process is biomass, but it is possible to produce fuel from brown coal or plastics. The difference between a standard biofuels plant and our facility is that the substrate does not come from the food chain. The low temperature of the process and special type of the catalyst cause that the process is friendly for the environment and the quality of produced biofuels is much better than standard pyrolytic oil. The produced biofuel is closer to that of regular diesel (EN 590) according to key parameters and distillation curve.
